The Colorado Public Safety UAS Association was founded in 2018 by David Spraggs.  David has 23 years law enforcement experience.  He is currently a Sergeant with the City of Boulder Police Department.  David spent 12 years in investigations and is an International Association for Identification certified forensic photographer.  David is a former Advisory Board member for Police Magazine and has written for Police Magazine, Law Technology News and Police Chief Magazine.

Additionally, David has spent 10 years as a Hazardous Devices Technician for the Boulder County Regional Bomb Squad.  With his ground robotics experience and lifelong interest in remote control aircraft, David was selected in 2016 as the Program Manager for the Boulder PD UAS Unit.  Over the past 18 months David has received calls from public safety agencies throughout Colorado and the US seeking assistance setting up their UAS programs.  Seeing the need for a new professional organization is what prompted David to establish the CPSUASA.

A professional organization bringing together police, fire, wildland fire, EMS, OEM, search and rescue to further public safety UAS operations in Colorado.  Continue growing CPSUASA to include a board of directors, by-laws, monthly or quarterly meeting/training, and an annual conference.
