Nathan Phillips – Colorado Springs, Colorado
I separated from active duty United States Air Force a few years ago, worked for Lockheed Martin as an instructor for two years, moved to small engineering company Darkblade Systems for a year, and then was hired by Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) company, Aeryon Labs (www.aeryon.com). Darkblade did some counter-UAS work (my specialty was Signals Intelligence), and I directed UAS flights for intelligence gathering during Operation Enduring Freedom. I currently have my FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot’s License and work for Aeryon consulting public safety officers in the use of UAS to aid in their jobs. I am also a member of Colorado UAS (http://uascolorado.com/), Unmanned Systems Canada, and the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (http://www.auvsi.org/).
The hobby I love most is flying and taking pictures/video with several drones (including the Aeryon R60) around the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I also enjoy sampling craft beer and red wine, watching the Denver Broncos, hanging out with my beautiful wife and four dogs, and hiking/traveling.
